Creating a following in social networks requires sharing quality content and building relationships over time. One of the challenges many people have is in understanding who they are. It is difficult to inspire others when you do not truly know where your talents are or how you can best share what you know.
While I am just getting started here on Google Plus I am still working on topics and appropriate circles to post to but I think most people following this stream will agree that personal branding is an important key in today's content driven environment.
Personally I am finding that because I have a diverse background from software development to music production and half a dozen other interests and talents (like we all do) that zero-ing in on what I should focus on is becoming a challenge. So one of my research projects is personal brandingand what follows are some good resources on that subject.
Where do your opinions diverge from the conventional thinking? What aspects of your expertise have not gotten enough attention? What sets you apart from those who have already created their personal brand? Knowing this information will help you further define your own identity.
